This crate is all about the weather! We'll explore it across all seasons, conduct exciting experiments, and dive deep into the world of clouds. Using the 4M weather station, we'll observe daily weather patterns and record our findings in our weather journal and weather tree. But the fun doesn't stop there—we'll also create a tornado in a bottle, explore static electricity, and investigate air pressure!

What age groups are Knowledge Crates designed for?
  • Unit Crates:
    • Preschool Version: Suitable for children from preschool through grade 1. Even if your child has already mastered some skills, the activities offer a sense of accomplishment as they can complete them independently.
    • Elementary Version: Designed for children in grades 2-5.
  • Mini Crates: Mini crates vary in suitability, catering to children from preschool through high school. Each mini crate includes a detailed list of materials and a photo, so you can choose the best fit for your child.
  • Sensory Play: Perfect for kids of all ages!

⚠️ Important Note: All our products contain small parts and are not suitable for children under the age of 3.

Are your products educational?

  • Absolutely! Our unit crates come with an activity guide aligned with learning goals. These guides are perfect for parents or homeschoolers, providing general learning standards and color-coded buttons to highlight the learning areas each activity covers. Kids will learn while having fun!

What learning topics do the activities cover?

  • Our activities span Art, Math, Science, Literacy, Social Studies, Physical Development, and Social & Emotional Development. Both seasonal and mini crates are packed with a variety of activities to engage young minds.

Can the materials be reused?

  • Yes! Most activities are designed for repeated use.

When are unit crates released?

  • Seasonal crates are released four times a year: September 1, December 1, March 1, and June 1. Orders placed after the release date will be shipped within three business days.

Can I purchase just one unit crate?

  • Yes! All unit crates are available for individual purchase.

I have more than one child. Do I need to buy multiple crates?
Not necessarily. While each crate contains enough materials for one child, we offer two options for families with multiple children:

  • Add-On Kits: These include a second set of materials for select activities (typically 8) from the full seasonal crate. Ideal for families with children close in age who can share items like books and activity mats.
  • Sibling Crate Discount: Purchase a second full crate from the current season at 34% off. This option is great for families with children of different ages, as it provides each child with age-appropriate materials.
How do I decide between an Add-On Kit and a Sibling Crate?
  • Add-On Kit: Best for children close in age (e.g., 1st and 3rd grade) who can share items like books while participating in activities together.
  • Sibling Crate: Ideal for children with a wider age gap (e.g., preschool and 3rd grade) to ensure each child receives age-appropriate materials.
⚠️ Note: Add-On Kits and Sibling Crates must be purchased alongside a full-size seasonal crate.
